when did the supply chain management really came to India?
In 1960's the Supply Chain Management started developing in India. Some of the companies like IBM, BHEL, INDIAN RAILWAYS, TATA-TEA etcwere using it in the small scale ie: much importance was not given to it. Then in 1990's due to the increase in customer satisfaction and cost reduction for the Organization made as a goal. They started improvising supply chain management into a large field.
